Every Women Study LMIC Edition

In the latest podcast episode of "Changing the Ovarian Cancer Story" I spoke to three amazing women about the latest study to come out about the experiences of women with ovarian cancer in low and middle income countries.

The #EveryWomanStudyLMIC is the first of its kind to gather extensive data on women with ovarian cancer in this setting. I had the chance to talk to the study lead, Nigeria's country lead, and the editor of The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Women's Health who published the study in the journal.

The more time I spend learning about ovarian cancer and listening to patients, practitioners and policy advocates, the more emboldened I feel about the future of Women's Health. Yes, it's been ignored and stigmatised for too long. But I do feel the tide is turning and that real progress can be made. This study, spearheaded by the marvellous World Ovarian Cancer Coalition shows the quality of the data that can be achieved when the right research is conducted in the most equitable and thorough way.
