Brexit... so far

The BREXIT decade ‼️

Ten years ago today, Britain voted by the narrowest of margins to leave the European Union.

I was on CNN that day and the days that followed, on Downing Street, as David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister.

I remember debate, disagreement, disillusionment, division.

Ten years later, and not much has changed in that regard. We're about to get our 7th PM and few could argue that 🇬🇧 is better off after Brexit.

On a positive note, I will say that I have the utmost respect for fellow journalists still working beats like this. The camaraderie, kindness and humour shown to each other in fast-moving, live, unscripted journalism, under immense time pressures, and often in extreme conditions is to be applauded 👏
